Sun Country PGA Professionals Dal Daily and Tiger Montano capitalized on a blazing start, and were able to hold on at the finish to claim victory at the 2017 Sun Country PGA Pro-Assistant Team Championship, held April 10, at Sonoma Ranch G.C.  The duo was able to birdie their first eight holes of the day and posted an 8-under-par 27 in the scramble format to jump out to an early lead.  A strong finish of 5-under-par 30 in the alternate shot format from the team of PGA Professionals Chris Ortiz and Austin Wallace, however, meant that both teams were deadlocked after 27 holes at 13-under-par 94.  On the 2nd playoff hole, PGA Professional Tiger Montano was able to drain a 16-foot birdie putt to seal the deal for Team Daily/Montano, as they claimed the Championship, and each earned a $1,000 winner’s check.
